From a programmer at a tech company, Earth Media Sdn Bhd in 1998, he began his career in cyber security in 2000 at 21 years old. He was invited as a consultant by the Bukit Aman Royal Police Cyber Forensic department, where he contributed to forensic analysis for combating cybercrime (malware analyst). 

In the span of his 23 years career, he has consulted for various national ministries and government agencies and industry sectors ranging from Tech, Healthcare, Banking and Energy. 

He has more than 6 years of experience in implementing and integrating IoT in Medical HealthCare around AsiaforiDataMap Corp based in Adelaide, Australia. At iDataMap, he works closely with the development team designing and developing patient-centric medical cards (RadCard) under the influence of Internet of Things.

He has more than 15 years of experience in leading, developing, designing, deployment, related to cyber security for Standard Chartered Bank, Elanet (VOIP) and Regal Paradigm Sdn Bhd.

Currently a Fellow at University Malaya, he is also active in cybersecurity community, co-founding Nanosec Asia (www.nanosec.asia), one of the biggest offensive cybersecurity conference event in South-East Asia. He aims to change a vendor-neutral platform for researchers to present their research to the community and accept the right combination of technical & case study papers to create balance. He wants to see more local talents to share their research with the world and interact with fellow researchers/professionals with a similar mindset.

For the community, he constantly delivers talks related to technology and cyber security to local universities. 

In his free time, he is an active skateboarder and team leader for a football team. He used to play in Selangor inter-state football league and won several skate competitions in Malaysia.
