About NanoSec

NanoSec What?

NanoSec is a newly created security community who organises events that focuses on all things security for Asia Pacific region based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We started off in 2018 by organising a 1-day vendor-neutral conference called ‘Nano Security Conference’ – which now has become an annual event.

The top feedbacks we heard from local attendees of security conferences are either they’re too technical, or clearly a vendor-based marketing event. Our aim is to change that by creating a vendor-neutral platform for researchers to present their research to the community and accepting the right combination of technical & case study papers to create balance.

We would want to see more local talents to share their research with the world and interact with fellow researchers / professionals of similar mindset.

Who's behind NanoSec?

NanoSec is run by a dedicated group of local IT Security professionals & students, with the help of volunteers from the community. We are doing this on our own free time out of passion, in hope of making both InfoSec industry and community better.

I want to volunteer!

Everyone is volunteering a few hours of their life to ensure the success of NanoSec events. None of us here are getting paid to organise the event (we do, however, get free meals and free flow of coffee during events). If you’re interested to volunteer, kindly drop us an email at [email protected]. Final year IT students are highly encouraged to join.
